Introducing a New Product Concept Through E-Commerce
HUUKA brings modern technology to the traditional shisha experience through a rechargeable, pod-based electronic system designed to operate without charcoal. I created a product-focused e-commerce experience that helps customers understand what makes HUUKA different before giving them a clear path from product discovery to purchase.
The Project
Selling a Product Customers First Need to Understand
HUUKA presented a different challenge from a conventional online store.
The product introduces a different way of approaching the traditional shisha experience. Instead of simply displaying a familiar item with a price and an Add to Cart button, the website first needed to explain what HUUKA is, how it works, and why its approach is different.
The product proposition centers around a rechargeable electronic system, pod-based operation, charcoal-free use, portability, simplified preparation and easier cleaning. The starter set also brings together the device and accessories customers need to begin using the system.
The digital challenge was therefore to combine product education and e-commerce — building enough understanding and confidence around an unfamiliar product concept while keeping the journey toward purchase straightforward.

THE APPROACH
Building the Buying Journey Around Product Understanding
When customers already understand a product category, e-commerce can move quickly toward specifications and price. HUUKA required a different journey because understanding the concept is part of the purchasing decision.
I structured the experience so the product proposition comes first, followed by the practical benefits that distinguish HUUKA from a conventional setup.
The website progressively communicates key characteristics such as quick preparation, charcoal-free operation, pod-based use, rechargeability, portability and simplified maintenance. Product construction and components provide another layer of information before customers move into the actual shopping experience.
This creates a journey where education supports conversion rather than competing with it.

WHAT I DELIVERED
A Product Experience That Connects Education With E-Commerce
The final experience combines strong product presentation, benefit-led communication, technical understanding and direct purchasing within a storefront designed around introducing a relatively unfamiliar product concept.
01 — Product Positioning
Structured the experience around HUUKA’s core proposition, helping visitors quickly understand the difference between the electronic system and a conventional shisha setup.
03 — Product Education
Integrated product construction, components and supporting information into the buying journey so customers can understand what they are considering before reaching a purchase decision.
02 — Benefit-Led Storytelling
Presented the product’s key differentiators through clear visual sections covering preparation, charcoal-free use, pod-based operation, rechargeability, portability and ease of use.
04 — E-Commerce Experience
Connected product discovery directly with the online store, allowing customers to purchase the HUUKA starter system as well as supporting products such as pods and replacement batteries.
THE RESULTS
From an Unfamiliar Product to a Clear Buying Journey
HUUKA now has a digital storefront that does more than place a new product in front of customers.
The experience progressively introduces the concept, communicates its practical differences, explains the product itself, and then connects that understanding with a direct route to purchase.
Customers can explore the HUUKA system, understand its primary benefits, examine the starter offering and purchase the core product and supporting items through the same connected experience.
For a product that challenges conventions within an established category, the website helps bridge the gap between “What is this?” and “I understand why I might want it.”
